One Night in a Sahara Camp & One Night in a Hotel with Swimming Pool

Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou – Midelt – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert

Your desert adventure begins with an early morning departure from Fes. Travel through the beautiful landscapes of the Middle Atlas Mountains, passing charming Berber villages and breathtaking scenery.

Your first stop is Ifrane, often called the “Switzerland of Morocco” thanks to its European-style architecture, clean streets, and mountain atmosphere. Continue through the famous Cedar Forest of Azrou, home to the wild Barbary macaques.

After a scenic drive, stop for lunch in Midelt, a town nestled between the Middle and High Atlas Mountains. Continue south through spectacular mountain passes and the lush Ziz Valley, known for its thousands of palm trees, traditional villages, and ancient kasbahs.

Arrive in Merzouga in the late afternoon, where the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi rise dramatically from the desert landscape. Meet your camel caravan and begin an unforgettable camel trek across the dunes as the sun sets over the Sahara.

Upon arrival at your desert camp, settle into your private tent and enjoy a traditional Moroccan dinner. Later, gather around the campfire for Berber music and drumming beneath a sky filled with stars.

Day 2: Desert Discovery Tour – Khamlia – Nomads – Oasis – Hotel Stay

Wake up to the peaceful atmosphere of the Sahara and enjoy breakfast at the camp.

Today, explore the fascinating surroundings of Erg Chebbi by 4x4 vehicle. Visit local nomadic families and learn about their traditional desert lifestyle. Continue to the village of Khamlia, famous for its unique Gnawa music and rich cultural heritage.

Explore fossil-rich areas, hidden desert oases, and historic mining sites while discovering the diverse landscapes that make the Sahara so unique.

Around midday, arrive at a comfortable hotel in Merzouga where you will enjoy lunch and have time to relax. Spend the afternoon by the swimming pool, unwind in the peaceful desert setting, or explore the nearby dunes at your own pace.

As the sun begins to set, enjoy the magical colors of the Sahara from the comfort of your hotel. Dinner will be served at the hotel restaurant.

Day 3: Merzouga – Ziz Valley – Midelt – Azrou – Ifrane – Fes

After breakfast at the hotel, begin your journey back to Fes.

Travel once again through the stunning landscapes of southern Morocco, with stops for panoramic views of the Ziz Valley and the surrounding mountains. Continue through Midelt, where you will stop for lunch before heading north through the Middle Atlas region.

Pass through cedar forests and traditional mountain towns before arriving in Ifrane for a short break. Continue to Fes, where your tour concludes in the evening.
